Condat en Feniers

At Fénières close to Condat in the Auvergne, France, this tiny shrine with madonna stands next to the road and above the ancient abbey of Fénières.

Condat is sometimes referred to as Terre Sainte, perhaps due to the proximity of the former abbey at Fénières, Abbaye de Val Honnête. After the demolition of the church a small chapel was built to house the ancient stone statue of the madonna.

Nearby are the Chapel de Valentine at Ségur-les-Villa, Allanches and the black madonna shrines at Murat and Mauriac.
