Avon Estuary 
The Avon estuary between Aveton Gifford and Bantham / Bigbury, on the south coast of Devon, England, abounds with water birds who come to plunder the oyster beds. Thurlestone, Slapton Ley, Wonwell and Aymer Cove are just a few miles further along the coast.
